Update Mar 2026/Apr 2026

Busy, busy, busy. Writing, performing, attending. We got front-row seats to the album release show of our friends Closed Circuit Cassettes, which is a band from Ypsilanti I would highly recommend if you like incredibly weird, fun electronic bands.

The three of us also got to sit in on Swamp Rats’ newest album and record some backup harmonies at Hamtramck Sound Studios (where, you may recall, we recorded our OWN upcoming single)! It’s gonna sound so good and we can’t wait to hear the finished product.

The crew of Izak, Swamp Rats, & a handful of extra friends at the recording studio.

It’s always so rewarding to travel somewhere we’ve never played before, to an audience that’s never heard of us, and be so well-received. That’s what we experienced on March 14th when we trucked on out to Grand Rapids for an abortive rights benefit show at the Fountain Street Church—where our own Mark Bolohan had his college graduation ceremony long ago. Funny how things work out. It was a beautiful cathedral and all of the bands and vendors were seriously awesome.

Then we played at yet another venue we’ve never played before, this time more local—Outer Limits Lounge—with Lyloc, Plughead, and Vampire Cowgirl. Surprisingly packed for a Wednesday!

Can’t get over these “trading cards” our friend Brie from Vampire Cowgirl made of us.

We ended the month by going to a queer square dance at a cafe called Vamonos! in Detroit, an all-inclusive potluck and dance party. It was a veritable parade of just the sweatiest, mullet-havin’, flamboyantly-dressed people you’ve ever seen. Vamonos has really cool, community-oriented events going on seemingly every day, so it’s one place we recommend checking out.

Next month’s shows are 4/10 at Howard’s Club H in Bowlig Green, OH; 4/11 at the Wyrd Byrd in Ypsilanti; and 4/25 at Bowlero in Royal Oak.
